Game Recap

Lady Eagles JV soccer took on Pasco High School on Friday at 6pm. The game was steady in the first half, with the eagles only allowing one goal. Throughout the second half, the forward position players hustled and tried their hardest to tie the score. Unfortunately, although aggression and effort was present, Pasco scored a lucky goal ending the game 2-0. “The game was stressful, honestly. Maureen Webster, Sophomore, shared.”We could’ve played better.”

The Varsity girls soccer team versed Pasco on Friday, November 11. Within the first 2 minutes of the game, Springstead took the early lead with Kimberly Gibson scoring the first goal of the game. This was not the end of the intense effort brought on by the Lady Eagles, however. The girls fought hard to cease any attempts made by Pasco to score any goals. Aly Burzumato, a freshman goalie, held her own when faced one-on-one with the strikers from Pasco High. Unfortunately, the results of the game did not reflect the immense efforts made by each player. Pasco won the game 5-1, but the Eagles refused to let their spirits get down. “We all worked together and played our best. Unfortunately, the outcome didn’t come as planned, but we will come back stronger next week.” Kim Gibson, 12.Â
